Here is my testimony: I met Eric in the summer of 2012 when I was struggling with my autoimmune disease. I was trying to find an alternative way to heal myself other than western medicine. Western medicine could not do much for me at that point. After I started the training with Eric, I saw immediate results after a month of practice. I slept better, and more relaxed. After a few months, I did not have the pain in my knees any more. I devoted myself to practicing Tai Chi for over a year. I was able to eventually stop taking the steroid I was prescribed to for my disease. My doctor was surprised by my improvement. My health was improved dramatically. Now I am only taking one medicine that has much less side effects than steroid to keep my disease at bay. I think Eric's teaching will improve people's mental and physical health at the same time. I will recommend him to any of my friends and family members without any hesitation.

I struggle with ibs, which is generally triggered by stress. I find that tai Chi helps keep my stress levels manageable. When I practice regularly I have fewer flare-ups and a better mood overall.

Back in my senior year of high school, I was diagnosed with IBS. I was constantly getting tired, winded, having digestive cramps, and often at inopportune times like at my job. I got a prescription for some pills which dried me out, and they didn't really help, so I stopped taking them. Luckily at the time I was diagnosed I was also practicing with Sifu Eric Randolph, who was teaching me Tai Chi Chuan. Using the practice I had learned, I was able to treat my IBS attacks, by meditating and by practing the martial-arts form that Eric taught me. I am happy to say that I no longer experience the symptoms of IBS, and I believe whole-heartedly that it was my Tai-Chi practice which cured me.

After 6 months of Heroine use, I quit on March 3, 2013. I am also Bipolar, so I sought out this training, this art, Taichi, in order to cleanse & balance myself. I continue practice daily and recommend it highly to the recovery and mental health communities, as well as anyone. Sifu Randolph explains the madness in life and articulates the majestic beauty in coping, in balance. He's a respected Instructor, wonderful Friend and inspirational person to behold.

When I was first diagnosed with moderate Ulcerative Colitis in March 2013, I had been in and out of the hospital for a month, I had lost thirty pounds in three weeks, and I was afraid that I would die. Over the last three years, I have been using Tai Chi as a supplement to the medication I regularly receive and it has changed my health for the better. I've been able to maintain control of my stomach from the practices that Sifu Eric has taught me, and I haven't experienced any severe symptoms of my disease since I was first diagnosed. I'm very thankful for what I've learned at The Tao Applied.
Training with Sifu Eric Randolph at The Tao Applied has been a positive experience over the last few years. Speaking as a skeptic, someone who was very resistant to this culture/practice, I can truthfully say that the experience has allowed me to become more in-tune with myself, more balanced, and focused. The anxiety and depressive moods I have experienced in the past are lessened when I practice Tai Chi. This practice over time has allowed me to be more compassionate towards myself and lead a more positive life overall. This practice has also led to other tangible outcomes, including a job offer during a time when I had spent over 4 months job hunting, increased confidence and self-esteem, improved sleep quality and quantity, and improved management of a chronic digestive illness that I have dealt with for over 16 years. I encourage anyone who feels that they might benefit from meditative practice/Tai Chi, and are looking for a fun, positive experience, to work with Sifu Eric Randolph at The Tao Applied. At the very least you’ll walk away with a friend, and at most transform the way you think and feel about your health and spirit. –Rochelle, Age 30, Clinical Research Coordinator, Virginia, May 2016

I'm so glad I started studying Taiji with Sifu Eric. My anxiety level is much more manageable now. I've gone from having multiple panic attacks every day to having them a few times a month. I hope to be able to go off my anxiety medication entirely while maintaining a regular practice.
The internal focus that meditation brings has also helped me grow as a writer. I have a longer attention span and keener observation. I would recommend the practices of the Tao Applied to anyone who wants to know themselves better, no matter what the circumstances.
